A New Start

Wow, it's been a long time.

I know, I disappeared for a few months.
But guess what.... I started a new blog! That's right. Although I haven't been posting on this blog, I've still been writing, just posting things somewhere different.

I didn't have this blog for long because it was very hard to maintain due to lack of inspiration. I knew from the start that an advice blog would be very hard, especially when asking you guys to give me things to write about. It was a risk, and it didn't work, but at least I tried.

My new blog is basically an online diary for me. I write about things I want to achieve in life, things that can motivate me and others, and any exciting experiences I may have. Instead of relying on other people to give me post ideas, I use my own. It's easier to run because I worry less about having no things to write about.

If you'd like to check it out go HERE. I post every Monday, so be sure to follow me on bloglovin (link at bottom of all my posts) so you don't miss new posts.

Thank you all, Goodbye.

Boys

"I like a boy but he's considered 'uncool'. He's really lovely and I told my friend about him yet she said negative things. What should I do?"

In the past, if I liked a boy I would always worry about what my friends would think of him. It used to make me change my opinion very quickly if they didn't like him. However, I've realised it doesn't matter what they think; it's my life. If that boy is the person to bring me happiness then my friends shouldn't mind. If they do, they aren't worth it.

Your friend is probably just jealous that you're talking to a boy and getting on. Don't let her opinion stop you from becoming friends with / dating someone.

In my post about popularity I talked about how usually the nicest people are classed as 'uncool' and 'weird' (You can check that out here http://allthatjasx.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/popularity_2.html ). Why does it matter what everyone else thinks of him? If you like him, go for it! In the end, it doesn't effect their lives.

I'm sorry that this post is quite short. If you have any more advice for this person, leave a comment below!
Next week I'll be doing a Q and A about school so comment questions for that too.
See you on Monday!

My questions

What made you start a blog?
I had been wanting to start one for a long time because I just thought it would be fun. Then because it was a new year I finally decided I'd make one for 2015!

Who do you look up to?
Everyone's probably expecting me to look up to a celebrity and yes, there are some that inspire me. But, I mainly look up to 2 of my close friends, Ellie and Gemma. They're amazing people who have gone through a lot and I look up to them for all the great things they've accomplished and managed to get through.

What are you afraid of?
I have fear of house fires, being outside alone when it's dark, insects. I have many small fears like that, but there's one that scares me the most. Death. I know, that's a bit deep, but it's a huge fear of mine. The fact that one day we won't be here. We won't be able to see our family and friends, go to the shop, walk around and live. Everything will just be gone and I hate that thought. I hate thinking about what will happen when we die and I get all panicky when I think about it; I'm shaking and almost crying whilst writing this.

What's your favourite item you own?
My guitar. I love it so much.

What's your favourite song?
I can never choose a favourite song. I love a lot and there's so many to choose from.

Have you got a hobby?
My blog and as I've mentioned many times, playing guitar.

What would be your perfect day?
There are so many things I want to do, people I want to meet. All those things would make perfect days and I don't think I could choose between them and have just one day
 for it all to happen.

How did you meet your first friend?
Her name was Emily and our families were friends so I knew from when I was born.

Beach or snow?
Snow!

Kindle or book?
Book. Even though I'm in love with technology nothing beats a good ol' book

If you could go back in time, where and what would you do?
I think I'd go back to my childhood and learn to appreciate being young again. As you get older there's so much more stress and I wish I'd never wanted to grow up so much. It's not
as exciting as I thought it would be.

My nominations

My questions for you

1. What is your favourite film?
2. If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
3. When did you start your blog?
4. What's your lucky number?
5. If you could meet anyone (dead or alive) who would it be?
6. Summer or winter?
7. Who's your inspiration?
8. Do you have any pets and if so, what do you have?
9. If there was a movie made about your life, who would you want to play you?
10. Who's your favourite Disney princess?
11. Sweet or savoury?

I loved writing this!

New Years Resolutions / 2015 Goals

I know it's the 12th January and probably very late to be posting this but hey ho, I'm doing it anyway.

I've read many people's posts about their new years resolutions and it's been really interesting to see what everyone wants to achieve this year. Instead of the boring 'Grow my hair' or 'stop biting my nails' etc. people have put more thought into what outcomes they want by the end of this year and it's great to see how creative people have been.

Without further or do, here are mine!

1. Reach 100 followers on my blog.
It's quite ambitious but hopefully, if I work hard enough and put a lot of effort into my posts, I could achieve it. This ties in with another of my resolutions: work hard on my blog. I want to have something I'm proud of and something that I can look back on and see how much I've grown. Also, I hope to help you guys a bit and please you with my posts. I don't want to be publishing rubbish posts because I won't be proud and I don't think you'd all be happy about that.

2. Worry less about what people think.
A lot of the decisions I made in 2014 were influenced by what others would think. I was worried about people judging me which stopped me doing many things. I know I could have a lot more fun if I didn't let people's thoughts hold me back. There's a quote I really like "Guide me but never hold me down". It doesn't completely fit with this resolution but in some ways it does. Of course it's good to think of others and to listen to what they have to say but they shouldn't control your life. In the end, do what you want to do and try to make the best of everything. Don't let them stop you doing things.

3. Try harder in school.
I've kind of ruined this one slightly already but I'll pretend that I didn't.
I'm in my final 2 years of school which means I have my GCSE's (exams) coming up. I really want to do well because I would feel very bad if I knew I could have done better. I don't pay much attention in some classes and I feel like if I concentrated I would understand things a lot more.
This also includes doing work outside of school like revision and homework. I'm one of those people that leaves everything to the last minute and ends up getting stressed and completing things to a low standard. I know it's so much better to do things earlier and I need to stop procrastinating.

4. Say yes.
I spent the majority of last year in my bedroom on my phone. It was a waste of my time and I didn't experience as much as I could have. This year I want to go out and do more things, make more memories. When someone used to ask me to meet up I'd pretend I was busy for the pure fact I'm lazy. I would refuse simple things like going on a walk with my family because I would rather be on social media. It took up too much of my year so I'm going to start saying yes more; who knows what great opportunities could come up.

I hope you enjoyed this post! It's a little bit different from usual but I wanted to change it up so my posts are more varied.
Comment one of your new years resolutions / goals below.
If you need advice on something you can email me or comment that below too. I might just answer it in a post.
See you next Monday!

Self-Confidence

"How can I have more self- confidence in the future?"

So many people have low self-esteem, especially people in their teenage years. They don't like how they look, they criticise their talents, they downgrade themselves.

I haven't seen one magazine, one online clothes store etc. with a larger woman / man. Every model is slim. Every model is societies definition of perfect and most of ours too. Doing a small task like looking for clothes lowers our self-esteem just that little bit more. But, these images we are shown are false. Those models don't have completely clear skin or 'perfect' figures. Photoshop exists. However, even though we know this, it doesn't stop us picking out our own flaws.

What about that drawing you did in Art the other day? It looked good at first. You were proud of it until you looked at the person next to you; you think theirs is better. Yours turns into a load of messy lines. You pick out everything theirs has that yours doesn't and suddenly it doesn't look so great any more.

  • Comparing yourself to others is only going to make you feel bad about yourself. I used to have low self-confidence. I've learnt to like myself a lot more but whenever I compare myself and my skills to other people, I feel like rubbish again. You just have to remember that it would be boring if we were all the same. Love what you have instead of wishing for something you don't.
  • When you stand in front of a mirror I bet you pick out everything wrong with you. For every flaw you see I want you to find something good about you. It doesn't just have to be with looks either. Okay, you dislike your laugh. However, you're a trustworthy person.
  • If you feel good about yourself there's bound to be someone who says a negative comment about you. Just remember to focus on the positives rather than that one negative. The person is probably jealous, please don't take any notice.
You are amazing and beautiful. You deserve to be happy so please don't think the opposite. I hope one day you will learn to love yourself.
To those of you who are starting to / do like yourself for you, that's great! Don't be ashamed to be happy with who you are.

I hope this helped!
